"First off, the art is stellar. Solid, good flow, and colorful. Secondly, the melding of musical terminology with action hero quips is well 'played', if you will. The dialog from the first Abandoned Warehouse Downtown scene is especially witty, bordering on painfully punny. Classic storytelling in a new package. More genius still is how you managed to make ‘bad music’ a virtue when called upon. I like to think I help contribute to the world’s balance of ‘bad music’."

Comic News Info

"The Fro, an engaging new graphic novel from Chris Harden and company, is the story of harmony, in the spiritual sense as well as audio... As origin stories go, this is a wonderfully well thought out read.  The art team is far, far more than just competent, showcasing an extremely fun visual style while rhythmically pacing a fantastic storytelling prowess... Dig the jam and you will not be let down." ... read the full review!

Ain't It Cool!

"Chris Harden has some fun with the book even with the out-there origin story. You feel sorry for Tom like you did in very early issues of Spider-Man – he’s a dorky kind of guy who gets these powers and tries to do good. The plot is truly original – if you are looking for a superhero you’ve never seen before then the white guy with a ‘Fro is here! The artwork is pretty good as well with artist Alfa Robbi making a white guy with an afro look pretty damn good... ”  read the full review!

The Mysterious M

"The art is solid and bright, and there’s some genuine laugh-out-loud humor, but the thing that won me over about this book was the craziness of the premise and how perfectly it fits into the world Chris created”  read the full review! (Sept 20th posting)
